The Washington Post Names Wheelhouse Group a 2022 Top Washington-Area Workplace

Wheelhouse Group has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2022 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area. This honor is awarded annually to 200 companies in the D.C. area based solely on employee feedback.

Wheelhouse employees used several positive words to describe the company culture, but inclusive, collaborative, hardworking and flexible all stood out significantly when compared to similar organizations. Beth McDonald, President of Wheelhouse Group, noted that those characteristics align with the company values. “Our company has seen tremendous growth in recent years, but we have been very conscious of keeping our values front and center. We want our employees to feel like they belong and are a part of a team that values the whole person – their work, their family and their community. We are honored to be named a Top Workplace and to see that our efforts are resonating with our employees.”

Top Workplace honorees include government contractors, real estate firms, health service providers, and tech companies. “The Post’s Top Workplaces list is now in its ninth year and continues to highlight the companies in the Washington-area that employees deem to be leaders in company satisfaction and engagement,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes. “Each year, the leaders at these companies are commended for their leadership and collegiality, qualities which have increased in importance to employees with the last few years of heightened transition and change.”

Employee feedback for the award was gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.
