Amy is a successful entrepreneur and was the co-founder and CEO of Marasco Newton Group, 350-person IT and environmental management company. Her public sector experience includes engagements with the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Departments of Transportation, Energy, Defense, Agriculture and Interior.

Amy is the President of ReThinkIt Associates, a small, women-owned management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, communications and organizational effectiveness. She is a senior executive consultant and nationally recognized facilitator known for guiding clients on effective strategic planning, marketing and communications programs and organizational redesigns. She coaches public, private and nonprofit sector executives in developing business and communication strategies, as well as organizational and cultural transformations. She is known for her work in mentoring small businesses such as woman owned and minority firms and their executives and staff.

Amy has served on the Executive Board of three of the fastest growing companies in the Washington D.C. metropolitan region. She founded a national environmental nonprofit organization committed to educating youth on environmental stewardship. She currently serves on several private sector and community boards and was most recently Board Chair of a 500-person energy and environmental services firm. Amy also served as Vice Mayor of the Town of Hillsboro, Virginia, where she focused her time on what resulted in award winning infrastructure projects in the fields of transportation, drinking water and wastewater initiatives.
